Demi Moore put on a radiant display as she was accompanied by her adorable pup Pilaf at the star-studded 2025 Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica on Saturday.

The actress, 62 – who recently enjoyed a trip to London to attend the BAFTAs – joined other celebrities at the glitzy event, such as Julia Fox and Emma Stone.

The star has been nominated for Best Lead Performance for her role in the body horror film The Substance – after winning a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award.

The movie has also garnered a nod for Best Feature alongside Anora, Sing Sing, I Saw The TV Glow and Nickel Boys.

Moore turned heads ahead of the ceremony wearing a sheer, black dress that fell down towards her ankles and contained striped fabric underneath.

She slipped into a pair of closed-toed, black heels and layered the outfit with a matching jacket that was left unfastened at the front.

Her long, dark locks were parted in the middle, and effortlessly cascaded down straight past her shoulders.

Moore accessorized the look with glittering silver earrings as well as a few chunky rings on each of her hands.

She also carried a black dog purse with a gold-chained strap to a unique flare to the ensemble.

The star’s makeup was classically done and comprised of a layer of mascara to her lashes as well as a light shadow around her eyes.

A warm blush was added to her cheekbones for a radiant glow, while a glossy nude-colored tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.

Demi flashed a cheerful smile as she stopped for a brief photo session upon arriving to the venue.

The Ghost actress sweetly cradled her Chihuahua Pilaf in her arm – whom she adopted during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Moore has also scored her first Oscar nomination for Best Actress, as well as other nods – including a SAG Award.

The Substance was released in theaters last year in September 2024, and the cast also included Margaret Qualley, Dennis Quaid, Hugo Diego Garcia and Oscar Lesage.

The premise of the movie is: ‘A fading celebrity takes a black-market drug: a cell-replicating substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself,’ per IMDB.

When it came to prepping for the role of Elisabeth Sparkle in the movie, she recently told Backstage that she worked with an acting coach.

‘And we literally went through the script page by page and did a super deep dive, particularly because I had very little dialogue,’ she expressed.

‘For most of my scenes, I had to create a way of being in dialogue with myself; I didn’t have the luxury of feeding off another actor.’

Demi further explained, ‘In the arc of this story, because it goes so big, somebody had to be the anchor to reality, and that was going to be Elisabeth Sparkle.

‘She had to anchor [the audience’s] connection, our humanness, so that the movie could be allowed to go to these enormous, wild places.’

Moore added, ‘I wanted to know that I would be alive in my thinking and that those thoughts were actually me in conversation with myself when I was in silence.’

She also opened up about receiving her very first Oscar nomination and said, ‘This is the biggest award for our industry; and in a way, it’s kind of everything and nothing.

‘That’s a weird thing to say, but it’s because it does, in some ways, mean everything; but at the same time, at ground zero, you don’t make choices based on that being the goal,’ Demi explained.

‘That’s the way for it not to work out. When you stay on a path that’s authentic to you and you’re doing meaningful, memorable work – speaking for myself, at least – that’s my drive.’

Last month, she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress – and gave a moving speech as she recalled how a producer had once called her a ‘popcorn actress’ in the past.

Moore added she felt ‘this wasn’t something that I was allowed to have, that I could do movies that were successful, that made a lot of money, but that I couldn’t be acknowledged.’

The actress said she had ‘believed that’ for some time but recalled, ‘I had a woman say to me, “Just know you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.”‘

And earlier this month, the Hollywood star also received the Critics Choice Award for Best Actress.

She gave an inspirational acceptance speech and expressed on stage, ‘When I started the journey of this film, I could never imagine being here. This is so far beyond anything that I could have hoped for.’

Demi was also nominated for a BAFTA – with the ceremony taking place last weekend. However, the Best Actress Award went to Mikey Madison for her role in Anora.
