Joey King showed off her slender legs in a flared dress when she was spotted dashing around in New York on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old actress is anticipating the premiere of her upcoming Hulu series We Were The Lucky Ones, which debuts Thursday.

We Were The Lucky Ones is a drama about members of a Jewish family who survive the Holocaust and then try to find each other after being scattered by the war.

Its leading lady radiated Manhattan chic when she surfaced Wednesday in a gray ensemble that was faintly reminiscent of the 1950s.

With its unobtrusive bow and its frilled white petticoats poking out from under the hem, the dress evoked an eerie connection to the show’s postwar setting.

Sharpening her youthful features with makeup, Joey rounded off the look with black leather shoes that matched her handbag and nail polish.

While premiering her show in Los Angeles this month, Joey spoke glowingly about married life with the dashing filmmaker Steven Piet.

Joey, 24, and Steven, 39, dated for four years before tying the knot in an intimate ceremony in Mallorca this past September.

‘It’s hard to say because people like…. Nothing really changed because we’ve lived together before,’ she reflected to People.

‘But I always say, and this is very true, that there’s just something…. Everything’s just a little bit sweeter now,’ Joey added.

‘It’s just fun to feel like you are truly hanging out with your best friend every day. It’s a very special feeling,’ explained the former child star.

She made the remarks last Thursday while she and Steven made their red carpet debut as a married couple at the Los Angeles premiere of We Were The Lucky Ones.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the event, Joey dished that her favorite couple’s activity with Steven was ‘[w]atching Frasier in bed every night before bed, that’s kind of the – I mean, among many other things,’ she tacked on with a laugh.

Steven and Joey struck up their romance in September 2019 after he directed two episodes of her miniseries The Act about the Gypsy Rose Blanchard story.

He proposed in early February 2022, prompting Joey to rhapsodize on her Instagram page that he had made her ‘the luckiest lady alive.’

She effervesced: ‘I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy.’

Joey threw a ‘Steve-themed’ bachelorette party in Napa Valley, where each of her guests came dressed as a different famous Steve.

Various women in Joey’s circle showed up in costume as Steve-O, Steve Irwin, Steve Jobs, Steven Tyler and even the character Steve from Blue’s Clues.

She and Steven procured their civil marriage last August at Same Day Marriage in Los Angeles, a lowkey affair followed by an excursion to a bowling alley.

The upscale wedding ceremony took place one month later in Mallorca, with the bride styled by none other than JustJared founder Jared Eng.

Joey was decked out in a sumptuous Oscar De La Renta bridal gown that featured a flower petal motif and a tiered tulle skirt.

Her mother Jamie King – not to be confused with Hart Of Dixie actress Jaime King – walked Joey down the aisle at the Spanish ceremony.

Amid the intimate circle of family and friends, there was a smattering of celebrities including Sabrina Carpenter, AnnaSophia Robb and Michelle Williams.
