Two people have died after truck crashed into a house along a busy highway in regional Victoria.

Emergency services were called to reports a truck veered from the road and crashed into a house on the Princes Highway, in Warrnambool, just after 7am on Friday.

Victoria Police said the two occupants inside the house, both yet-to-be-formally identified, died at the scene.

The male driver and sole occupant of the truck was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are enroute to the scene and investigations remain ongoing.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said paramedics were called to reports of an incident in Tower Hill about 7.05am.

‘One person has been transported by road ambulance to Warrnambool (Base) Hospital,’ she said.

Police members are allowing trucks and heavy vehicles through the highway while all other traffic is being diverted down Gormans Road.
