Nicolas Cage’s captivating personal life rivals the intrigue of his renowned film career.
The City of Angels star, 60, has been married five times, with the last three of his wives being over 20 years younger than him.
Cage, a nephew of acclaimed Godfather director Francis Ford Coppola, also has a history of high-profile relationships with several prominent Hollywood stars.
His past marriages include the late Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of the iconic singer Elvis Presley, and Patricia Arquette, known for her role in the television series Medium.

Brooke Shields (1987)
The Longlegs star was rumored to have dated Blue Lagoon star Brooke Shields, now 59, in the late 80s.
The duo were seen attending the premiere of Moonstruck at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City in 1987.
The young pair both matched in black and white looks and beamed as they arrived together to the event.
It’s unclear how long the rumored romance lasted.

Ami Dolenz (1988)
The actor sparked talk of another romance in 1988 when he brought actress Ami Dolenz, now 55, to a movie premiere.
The two were seen attending the ‘And God Created Woman’ screening at 20th Century Fox Studios in Los Angeles.
They both sported unique looks, with Cage rocking a silver suit and navy shirt, and Ami wearing an eye-popping multi-color verst over a red dress.

Christina Fulton (1988)
Cage began dating Christina Fulton, now 57, in 1988. Two years later in 1990 the duo welcomed their son, Weston Coppola Cage, now 33.
The couple never married and broke up within a year of Weston’s birth.
In July of 2024, Weston was arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother during a reported mental health crisis.
He was booked for assault with a deadly weapon, the LAPD confirmed. He was subsequently released that same day.
The scuffle between Weston and Fulton occurred on April 28 in the Los Angeles area, when a verbal dispute reportedly turned physical.
‘On April 28th, 2024, around 5:30 p.m., I received urgent messages from friends of my son, Weston Cage, regarding his deteriorating mental state, urging me to come help,’ Fulton said in a statement obtained by People.
‘When I arrived to offer support and console him, he was already in the midst of a manic rage. Within minutes, I was brutally assaulted and sustained serious injuries,’ she claimed.
‘Despite my desperate pleas to the responding police officers to detain him for a mental-health evaluation, the police officers refused my request.’
Fulton added in her statement: ‘As a mother, I am deeply saddened and concerned about Weston’s ongoing mental-health crisis.

‘It is imperative that he receives the help he desperately needs,’ she concluded.
The LAPD confirmed that Weston was booked for assault with a deadly weapon just weeks after his mother was spotted with intense bruises on her face.
The police told People: ‘During the incident, Cage punched two victims multiple times, causing injury. LAPD responded, and after meeting with all parties, a police report was completed.’
Weston turned himself in and was arrested at Los Angeles’s 77th division station.
Weston’s case was submitted to the district attorney’s office on May 10 and on June 26 the DA filed two counts of assault with a deadly weapon against him. An arrest warrant was later issued.
The actor was released on a $150,000 bail around 10am. The U.S. Sun reported that his father is believed to be the one who bailed him out.
This isn’t the first time the son of the National Treasure actor has been in trouble with the law, as he was arrested in 2017 got DUI and a hit-and-run.
Police said that he hit multiple parked cars, signs and mailboxes before he crashed his car into a tree.

After being taken to the hospital, he was charged with a DUI and arrested on $30,000 bail.
In 2011, he faced domestic violence charges after he had a dispute with his ex-wife Nikki Williams, according to ABC News.
Weston has been treated for mental health issues in the past.
He was hospitalized on a psychiatric hold in 2011 after a violent incident in Los Angeles.
At the time, Fulton blamed her son’s mental problems on the Oscar winner claiming, ‘Nicolas Cage has damaged and interfered and done something absolutely horrific, and I need to just go get my son,’ she told Inside Edition.
‘I am the one that raised Weston. I am the one that took care of Weston. His dad was very busy out working as an actor,’ she said.

In 1990 he was linked to actress Lisa Stothard, now 61.

Nicolas went on to marry his first wife Patricia Arquette, now 56, in April 1995.
The pair met when she was 18, and she told The Telegraph that he proposed to her that same day.
However, they did not tie the knot at that time.
The famous duo reconnected a decade later when she was 27.
The couple divorced in May 2001.
There were rumors that the couple split nine months into their marriage and never told anyone.

Nicolas added that he ‘made a clear decision’ to marry into another culture, saying: ‘I made a very clear decision to marry out of my own zip code.’

He revealed the couple’s wedding was pushed forward so that Alice could travel with him to South Africa while he was making Lord Of War, explaining: ‘You can connect the dots… and we did it because we loved each other.’

Cage married make up artist Erika Koike, who was 34 at the time, on March 23, 2019 in an infamous Vegas ceremony.
The actor argued that he was too intoxicated to understand what he was doing and filed for annulment four days later.
He also claimed that Thai restaurant owner Koike did not tell him ‘the full nature and extent of her relationship with another person.’
Video footage of the moment the couple went to apply for their marriage license showed an intoxicated Cage screaming ‘She is going to take all my money’ and ‘Her ex is a druggy.’
Koike could be heard saying: ‘Baby I am not asking you to do this.’
The Blast reports how Cage’s lawyers stated: ‘Prior to obtaining a marriage license and participating in a marriage ceremony, [Cage] and [Koike] were both drinking to the point of intoxication.

‘As a result of his intoxication, when [Koike] suggested to [Cage] that they should marry, [Cage] reacted on impulse and without the ability to recognize or understand the full impact of his actions.’
The document also states Koike didn’t ‘disclose to [Cage] the full nature and extent of her relationship with another person’ and didn’t inform him of her ‘criminal history’ including ‘additional active criminal proceedings’.
Just hours after their impulsive walk down the aisle the couple were seen in the midst of screaming match outside of a Las Vegas casino.
The Oscar winner had earlier been caught on video applying for a marriage license at a Las Vegas courthouse in a somewhat agitated state.
The couple tied the knot the same day that they applied for the license but the honeymoon period didn’t last long.
Cage was granted a divorce from Koike in July 2020, according to official documents.
Riko Shibata (2021 – current)
Cage and Shibata – who got engaged via FaceTime – originally met in 2020 ‘through mutual friends’ in Japan while he was filming Sion Sono’s sci-fi horror film Prisoners of the Ghostland.

Official documents show that Cage and Riko applied for their wedding license on January 10 – the day of Riko’s 26th birthday – and that it is her first marriage.
Cage announced their engagement in an interview with his brother Marc Coppola’s radio show in August of 2021.
He said at the time: ‘She left New York and went back to Kyoto, Japan, and I went back to Nevada and I haven’t seen her for 6 months.’
‘We’re really happy together and we’re really excited to spend that time together so I finally just said ”Look, I wanna marry you” and we got engaged on FaceTime.’
