Terrifying footage has captured the moment hooded intruders broke into a family’s home and allegedly held a gun to a child’s head during a violent home invasion.

Four armed and hooded men broke into Khaleefa Al Shamari’s home in South MacLean, around 45 kilometres south-west of Brisbane just before 9pm on Thursday.

Horrifying CCVT footage captured the moment Mr Al Shamari and his wife along with their four children were allegedly threatened by the intruders.

They entered the home through the back door before they broke into the property while the family were in the living room watching television.

At one point, Mr Shamari’s seven-year-old son Mustafa said one of the armed men allegedly pointed a gun at him and threatened to shoot him.

‘He broke my door, then he just came in and pointed the gun at me,’ he told 7 News.

‘He was like, if you make any noise I’ll shoot you.’

After they made they’re way into the home, the intruders began barking orders at the frightened family.

One man allegedly threatened to shoot Mr Al Shamari’s wife and could be heard saying ‘I’ll f—ing put one in her f—ing skull’.

They also allegedly tried to take her purse with the man also heard saying ‘Where’s your f—ing purse, where? Grab it!’.

She was allegedly beaten with cricket bats while Mr Al Shamari sustained injuries to his shoulder and his eye.

Mr Al Shamari said several items including $20,000 worth of gold and more than $2,000 worth of cash were allegedly stolen.

‘They took the gold….and they got the $2,500 cash,’ he said.

The thugs also took the couple’s phone before they fled the scene with what appeared to be several bats and a firearm.

CCTV captured the moment the robbers tried to take off in two of Mr Al Shamari’s cars after they had earlier allegedly stolen the keys to both vehicles.

They couldn’t drive off after an electric fence out the front of the home barred them from making a getaway, forcing them to flee on foot instead.

Mr Al Shamari could be heard screaming loudly as he chased after the robbers as his wife could be seen in distress.

He then drove in search of the men but was unable to locate them.

The intruders are still on the run with Queensland Police now investigating the incident.

‘The offenders have… stolen a quantity of property before leaving the premises in a small sedan,’ police said in a statement.

‘A 51-year-old woman received a non-life threatening injury as a result of the incident.

‘Four children, between the ages of 7 and 17, were not physically injured.’

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage has been urged to contact police or to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
