The TV personality, 47, who will present the ITV show with his on-screen partner Ant McPartlin, was pictured carrying his song Jack, 16 months, while walking along the sand with his wife Ali Astall.

He cut a casual figure in a black T-shirt and pattered shorts, while shielding his eyes with dark shades.

Meanwhile, Ali put on a leggy display in a sheer white cover-up while playing with son Jack and daughter Isla.

It comes after Dec was just ‘metres away’ from a nasty bite from a venomous snake as he enjoyed a beach day with family.

Dec spent time at his favourite spot Cabarita Beach with his children Jack and Isla, he was much closer to danger than he thought.

In an incident scarily reminiscent of an I’m A Celebrity trial, Dec managed to narrowly avoid some dangerous reptiles during his visit.

Large signs were seen on the beach, reading: ‘WARNING: Large brown snake seen crossing here,’ The Sun reported.

Even one sighting can put a community on high alert during to the danger of the snakes, also known as Pseudonaja Textilis.

The Eastern Brown Snake is one of ‘s most venomous snakes, according to Geographic.

Some can reach up to two metres in length and even one bite can cause paralysis.

In addition, the snakes cause between one and two deaths each year – although anti-venom medicine is very advanced.

Medical attention should be sought immediately after coming into contact with the venom as a severe headache can develop within 15 minutes.

Its brown colour means it can often slope around undetected.

The snake makes its home throughout eastern from northern Queensland to South – but not Tasmania.

Dec is staying in the country with wife Ali Astall, their five year-old daughter Isla and Jack.

While the contestants will be sleeping in the outdoors in cramped sleeping quarters and a plank with a hole in it for a toilet, Dec has rented a £1000-a-night luxury beachside apartment with a private pool for his stay in , can reveal.

The four bedroom property boasts idyllic views, and even an outdoor spa. In room massages are also available, while residents can gaze out of the ‘glistening surf’ and ‘soft white sand beach’ which is close to the Gold Coast.

There is also a rooftop pool for Dec and his family to use.

The pair have been presenting the ITV show since it debuted in 2002 but in 2018 Ant was replaced by Holly Willoughby after he took a series off to address his addiction to alcohol.

This year’s celebrities will begin flying into Brisbane airport on Sunday as the show is set to air next Sunday November 19.

Nigel Farage will be amongst the first after signing a deal worth an astonishing £1.5 million – the highest ever to be paid to a contestant on the show.

He is to be joined by celebrities such as Jamie-Lynn Spears – the sister of US singer Britney Spears, ex-Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson, jockey Frankie Dettori, Marvin Humes and former EastEnders actress Danielle Harold.

During the pandemic years of 2020 and 2021, the show’s location was moved to Wales and it was revealed the TV duo were staying with their families in a £1,000 a week four bedroom cottage equipped with a trout farm.
