Taking her seat at the event, she joined Selma Blair with the pair giggling as they petted a dog.

Power Of Women, in partnership with Lifetime, celebrated honourees of the Power of Women issue — Amy Adams, Zoe Saldana, Bela Bajaria, and Carol Burnett — who each appear on the cover.
Others being celebrated are accomplished women profiled in the annual Women’s Impact Report.

Kate has been through a lot lately from the death of her father to her mother’s diagnosis with Stage 4 cancer and the stress and grief left her ill.

She was hospitalised with a mystery illness this summer that left her fans concerned.
‘I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer, and I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief quite quickly,’ she wrote on Instagram.
‘And then I was in hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my oesophagus, which made me vomit copious amounts of blood, and I found eating very hard.’
The comments were aimed at fans who criticised her for looking too thin in recent snaps.
